A man identified as Aric Mesina was killed early Sunday in a fatal pedestrian crash in Rosemead, according to the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office.
The incident occurred around 1:30 a.m. on the eastbound 10 Freeway in Rosemead, east of Walnut Grove Avenue. The California Highway Patrol responded to reports of a person walking in the lanes when the tragic collision happened.
Officials said Mesina was struck by a vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene. No other injuries were reported, and authorities have not yet released information about the driver involved.
